Pixel Repair. Is it this simple?

I have a well known problem of fading/missing pixels on my display. I have been quoted several different prices for repairs all in the hundreds.
I have stumbled across this e-bay seller that says its a matter of following simple DIY instructions like the one this link shows

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/BMW-E...spagenameZWDVW

Is it really this simple? Anyone here know what instructions he is likely to give me?

Thanks for any guidance,

Andy

I think this came up recently and it was discredited.

It AIN'T easy ... chance of success doing it yourself is less than 50%.

He's just selling what is already on this site. And, his instructions aren't even written in English. (I am NOT 100% certain, but moderately certain of these facts.)

In short, don't waste your money ... If there was an easy way to do it, I would have done it myself, even if it was moderately difficult, I would have tried it.

try the steps described here,
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/240317/6
i did and it improved the dead pixle by 80%. i might do it again and spray the whole circit board again. the spary bottle cost me 15 CAD and about 1 1/2 of time, taking the back of the cluster apart is a bit tricky.

Group Pixel Repair Deal

Follow this thread Andy i've put my website on there if you need it doing professionally and permanently. The "spray" technique is a very temporary fix and does'nt last at all just be careful with rip off merchants.
