Do you mean true HID kit for the fog lights or the "Xenon-looking" normal halogen bulb for the fog lights?

If it's the true HID kit, try to search for 155plus as he has installed one from ddmtuning.com.
I installed the same kit as 155plus from these guys http://www.ddmtuning.com/hidkihidbuhi.html

I got the HID 6000K Apexcone kit with 9006 bulb and have been pleased. Very bright and no error message.

The previous owner of my car put in some 4300k HID foglights. Don't really know any details but I bet if you did a search under his user name (Atomic80) you could find some information about it.

i got a pair off of eBay. Just have to be sure you get the right bulb type ( i think it varies slightly between MY) and brightness. I too settled for the ultra white/bright 6000k. Anything higher- it starts to get bluier or purple, if that's your thang.

I still use my Honda resources for things like this...just bought a set for $114.99 shipped (shop located in CA for local pickup) from the Honda forum. Let me know if anyone is interested and I'll link it :)

ive been trying to get a set of OE Hella ballasts working in my fogs with d2s bulbs siliconed in the housing... fits fine, but they keep flickering off... for some reason they only stay on parked... once... after that they just strobe.. is there a relay or fuse for the fogs ????????

I have the Apexcone 55W 6000K HID kit. NO check lights and NO resistor packs. I haven't had any problems. The color matches well with the oem headlights that are a little whiter (4300k). I thought I would have to change the headlights to 6000k but they match well. You can get a good $$ on them from Eric at

Actually I only experienced it twice and they worked real well...

I have read countless thread before i took the plunge and upgraded to hid fogs..basically there are no year or production date that is immune with check fog lights (don't ask as I am also puzzled) that's why some might need resistor packs and some might not...

heres the wierd part... i had hid 9006 fog lights from www.bimmian.com and they worked great... never a problem until almost 2 years later when a bulb burned out... now i tried to replace them with all oem parts and am running into the problem. is it that the oem hella ballast draws power differently than a typical aftermarket ballast? or maybe its less forgiving to power fluctuations? :dunno:
