I'm jumping on the all cf hood. One question for NYer's, which shop paints CF hoods? Whats the premium for a cf hood? Any one know of any good shops and some ballpark figures. Shipping to Ny would it go over $200? Thanks.

1. Carbon fiber on top and DVWP (Dry Vacuum Woven Plastic) bottom
2. Carbon fiber on top and Bottom

Whats the weight difference? Rigidity?
Whats the trade off between the two. Besides the obvious monetary difference.

Sorry, please pardon my ignorance, but, I have no idea.

1. DVWP is strong (alternative for the high cost of CF) just bit heavy than Full CF, Cheaper
2. Double sided is stronger than CF top and DVWP bottom, lighter (guestimate @ 3-4 lbs lighter than DVWP) a little pricey

as far as rigidity issue from what I've gathered there are no problems...

Mark, I'm with you. i really like it boss Look or whatever they call it...lol I would rather have the boser look in your attachment than the hood hump. I usually reserve my humps for other places...

Guys there is a turn of events (for the better)...I am really considering just getting the Double sided CF hood ( The mother of all carbon fiber hoods )for all of us who are in on the grp buy...pls bear with me as Vorsteiner will be giving me the price for the Double sided CF hood...All i ask is when i get the price is to send your deposit so we can get this going...

But if some of you still prefer the single sided hood I will still welcome orders...

I already have an idea about the price but won't tell till I get a full confirmation (believe me it's a Goooooood price)...
