Came sooo close to crashing the M5 tonight

Was driving back from dinner tonight with the wife and kids. Just a couple blocks from home. Going thru a two lane light in the right lane. Car turning from cross road right to go in front of me ignors me so no big deal I look in my mirror and swing over into the next lane and then the car keeps going across in front of me again. At this point our I need to slam on my brakes, abs on, get within about 2 feet of her bumper and the curb but I hit nothing, and the car just continues on down the road. I speed up next to the car and noticed this lady just chatting away on her cell phone oblivious that anything had ever happened.

damn... im sure the outcome would have been different had it not been for your BBK! By the way, your setup looks ridiculous. Good stuff.

They sure bit down hard. It was like all these thoughts flew through my head during the 2 seconds that I avoided the accident. I was so sure I was going to hit her or the curb. Afterwards I was surprised there was no impact.

My wife said she was really impressed by my reactions as she didn't think there was any way to avoid hitting the car.

People never stop amazing me with their bad driving. I know exactly what you mean; a week ago my brother was hit by a woman in a van, who merged into his lane without looking. She almost ran him into a tree(he drives a '98 Honda Prelude). Unbelievable. Glad your (and your beast's) reflexes were top notch.

Thanks P-Easy, Laidback.

You're right Ocean's 11, I need to point that out to the wife about the mods may have saved us from a crash.

Hope the kids are ok too. Poor drivers (any gender) is a PIA! Some times I wish I have the "force" and just shut off their cars. Glad you are ok. Yep, time for more upgrades......
