Hood liner rubbing on plenum cover?
Not sure how this happened because the liner isn't really sagging and the hood lines up fine with the fenders.
Worn motor mounts allowing the motor to move a bit too much?
I'm clueless about this!

My ///M has been rubbed on. No sign of looseness in the hood liner. Just doesn't seem to be enough clearance.

I would think something is wrong with at least one motor mount. I understand they're either fine or no good, nothing in between.

My underhood rubbing is exactly like Hawkwind's (on the M logo) ... and, it has been going on since new, so motor mounts are not causing it ...

Well I'm still trying to figure out how that can be a normal condition. I've never had any rubbing between the plenum cover and the underside of the strut brace, and the brace handily fits under the hood liner.

Have never experienced something like that. Also have a Strut Brace and it fits under the hood with no clearance problem.

I realize that. However, if I were to raise the hood height, the hood would end up uneven with the fender panels.
