PSS finally installed.

Finally I had a chance to put my PSS9 on my car this weekend.
ITs about time, after been sitting there for few weeks

Here is the pic

Measuring at 13-7/8" on the front and 13-3/8" on the back.
The PSS9 is set at 6 (front) and 6 (rear).

Regardz,

J Irwan

Here is more pic

Pic 3

PSS9 Front shock adjusment, easy access with just jacking the car up. (No need to take the wheel off).

Pic 4

I measure that the tender/helper spring already compressed at 15" (center wheel bore to fender distance).
So at static height around 14" the little spring definitely will already be fully compressed.

Initial impression when driving the car (test drive after fitting in the suspension),

Deceleration(Braking)
what I noticed the most is the "nose dip" during braking is virtually eliminated,

Acceleration
and the "squad" during acceleration is greatly reduced.

Cornering
Cornering is definitely flatter. It aspired more confident in the same turn with the same speed. I'll be fimilarizing myself with the new suspension for the next couple of day ).

Ride
The ride doesn't differ much from the stock ride. Some bump feels firmer than the OEM, but some bump actually feels better compare to OEM setup

Suspension weight difference
I didn't weight them in scale, but just by holding them OEM strut shock weigh t the same as PSS9.

In the past I've always had suspension modification to be the first thing on my car.
With the beast I wanted to enjoy the factory setup and all the hard work ///M Team put in this car.
But after having PSS9 installed, now I know what I have been missing.
This car should came like this from the factory.

If any of you think M5 stock suspension handle great, you don't know what you're missing out .

Nice set up....if you really want to get rid of the "push" and drive on rails...go for the stock 9.5" up front...

Nice job. Do you know what the front camber is with your new set up?

I'll probably do that someday. But for now, I'll just enjoy this new upgrade

Not yet,
But I will have it align after the suspension settled.
I'll let you know then.

BTW does anyone has the factory alignment spec for our beast ?

J Irwan

Nice. Same setting as I have on my Billsteins I do however think that the ride is a little harsher than normal. Maybe because of 19" wheels. Cornering, braking etc. is very much improved.
