AA type grills on ebay

Have any board members purchased the AA type grill that someone is selling on ebay?

Yea..they are pretty inexpensive. Just be careful, the manufacturing varies greatly. They may not fit into your cutouts as well as you may like.

Might be talking about these two links.

AA Brake Cooling Duct

AA CAI plus Brake Cooling Duct

I was actually thinking of these myself and was going to post a question about these. It seems reasonable.

I was looking at the picture they had with the front bumper off. It looks like the CAI option actually replaces the OEM CAI intake, but I wasn't sure. I was thinking that it would add an additional air intake pipe to the OEM setup for more air.

Does anyone have a picture of the original intake system before the filter?

I am trying to figure out how this would be better than the original system having to "share" the intake with the brake ducts. Just seems like the more direct flow for the air (least path of resistance) is to the brake area once they are opened up and rob a bit of air from the intake.

This presents itself as a fairly reasonable DIY project, but if they don't fit...

I was actually bidding on one last week. Maybe we should try a group-buy?

Correction...maybe you can make those on your own. All I can build on my own is a bookshelf from Target. Unless you want to come visit me and help me make that kit I'll stick to my ridiculously overpriced performance mods, thank you very much
