You wouldn't be the first. My guess is #17 here, but I'd do a search on the board b/c I know it's been discussed. http://www.realoem.com/bmw/showparts...27&hg=51&fg=75

Close. Parts are Number 14

51712498989 and

51712498990

I've gone through 3 on the R one on the L...

Do a search for "brake ducts" or look in the FAQ sticky.

Confirmed - see previous post

Re: Opps - the curb jumped out and bit my car!

It sounds like you are mentioning the "center" section which got the gash in it? The BMW part numbers are:
51-71-2-498-988 (Center)

The left and right pieces are wheel well liners as well as lower liners. The BMW part numbers here are:
51-71-2-498-989 (Left)
51-71-2-498-990 (Right)

This is definitely a DIY job, since it is easy to do. Order the parts from Pacific BMW and you'll save some $. By the way, if you want the wheel well liners with the hole already cutout, the M-Technic versions are:
51-71-2-694-832
51-71-2-694-899

Be sure to order a few of the screws (2 types), washers and clips that mount these parts.

Lost my right splash guard... and the temp sensor?

My temp sensor wire is dangling freely and it shows OAT -40C.
Couldn't locate the sensor yet.... (lost?)

Looks like i have two options for replacement splash guard; the original or the one with brake ducts.

Which one would be better for Dinan CAI since the filter is sitting in this area?
