Who has the Most Miles/Km on their M5??

A pseudopoll-

Do most guys drive their M5's daily or just on sunny Sundays? If daily, who's got the most miles out there, and how's she holding up?

I'm drive my car (6/00) daily and average around 22-24k miles a year. I currently have 28k and I'm about to go in for my second 15,000 mile service.

No major problems yet... many new shifter knobs replace!

I've got over 25,000 on my '00. It had 5,700 miles when I bought it in October '00, so I've put about 20K on it in the last year. What fun!!!

Hit a milestone today!

She turned 28,000 miles today, and I've scheduled her next major service (Inspection I). I picked her up on 3/31/00, and it's been lusty bliss ever since!

Johan, I'm jealous you've been able to extract more hours of fun in the same calendar duration (does that make the units = grins per day?).

Maybe it's not more hours only faster miles in the same time.

Well now THAT's a possiblity!

Although doubtful! While we may not have Autobahns in these parts, the highways around Atlanta tend to move at a pretty good clip. And most folks tend to drive in a conscious, courteous (dare I say European?) fashion that's pretty unusual in this country.

Then again, we have traffic jams like no other place. Good thing my commute is a departure from the norm--I'm able to avoid the gridlock that so many others face on a daily basis.

I'll have to go back to the fuel consumption thread from a few months ago to see if you have a significantly heavier foot, Johan!

Cheers!
-Dave

Dave,

Back in 95 I visited a friend who at that time lived in Cary, NC.
We traveled to Jazz fest in New Orleans by car and went via Atlanta. We did our best to drive fast in his fantastic Chevy Corsica.

What struck me was that the closer we got to Atlanta the more people speeded. So I believe that you drive fast.

But how you often go this fast?

Cheers,
/Johan
