2?'s....Back-up noise & Clutch noise

Hello guys!

I have been pondering these two questions for a while.

First problem I have is when backing my car up in my garage, I hear this rattling noise. It only happens when I feather the clutch and gas when backing up a steep hill.

The second problem is when I park the car and push in and release the clutch, I get a ratcheting sound from the clutch pedal that you can hear outside the car.

If anyone can answer any of these question I would greatly appreciate it!

BTW I have a 2000 540i sport susp.

I'm no mechanic, but the noise may be caused by the clutch thrust bearing?
