I am looking to upgrade to LED angel eyes. On the web, bmwled@yahoo.con, $69.95 for (2) 12 watt with what looks like all the necessary ( I am currently checking ) hardware to plug and play. I have the zenon factory lights. Has anyone had any experience with this company, and does anyone have any other suggestions ?

I have had a LOT of experiance with Yahoo. They have done wonders with email. You can see news on yahoo. The search engine hasnt been as great as some of the competition...but yeah Yahoo is a great company.

Bought 2 sets of Cred LED on eBay for my 540i and X5. They are good so far.

yeah if you guys could post up pics, prices, and buyers it would be nice to know.

Im looking at a 530 this weekend and im sure it will be one of the first upgrades. lol. Now are you guys just talking bulbs or whole LED Halo rings? I had Depos on my M5 so I had to get the whole LED Halo rings. Im assuming the 530 has the single bulb on each headlamp.

The AEs are there on the facelift E39. Replace the bulb with LED.
I bought these.

I had those and found the output lousy, same greeny white colour too. The ones I have are use a cree XM-L T6 cool white LED. Look like these

I'm going to be modding them and maybe making some spares to sell off here.
what are you going to be modifiying these for? Can you also explain what the "CREE" means? Is it just a brand name? Looks like these are a "10watt" bulb on ebay.

I wonder if this is all B.S. or if there are actually different wattages of the bulbs that are brighter than others?
I found this...

Now in the video they show, the bulb looks bright as hell. Is the 10watt legit though? Or all B.S. ?

You guys who are just buying the bulbs to throw in, can you tell me what the wattage was on the ones you purchased?

Also, I keep hearing "Facelift" all the time. Does this mean 1997-2000 older headlamps are pre-facelift? The newer headlamps is that facelift?

I had purchased a set of LED halo rings from BavAuto last year for my m5 and they are SO MUCH BRIGHTER than my DEPO fiber optics headlamp halos. Im thinking of just buying another pair of the LEDs from BavAuto for my soon to own 530i.

Can anyone tell me if OEM headlamps from a 2002 come apart like the DEPOs so I can just throw the rings inside??

When I picked up my '02 540iT, it had LED AE bulbs installed by a previous owner. Not sure who the manufacturer is, but they are a nice color that more closely matches the factory Xenons...especially with Osram CBI bulbs in place. My only complaint is that they aren't that bright...can barely see them at all if turned on during the daytime.

So, I took a chance and picked up a set of the "60W Cree" AE Bulbs off of eBay...knowing that they were likely some cheap, china-made crap. Figured it was worth a try. Well, when lit up outside of the housing they were definitely brighter and put out more light. BUT...once installed into the housing they were a little bit brighter but not by that much. I think the stock AE rings can probably only transmit so much light...the rest is just wasted in the housing. Even better is that one of them burnt out in a matter of months....maybe 2 or 3. Lesson learned. Put the other LED AE bulbs back in for now. Will only replace them when I actually do a Bi-xenon retrofit and replace the AE's with Umnitza Orion V2's...
