I assume this is from the M54 engine...usually it is MAF or fuel pressure regulator that pops up these codes

 

There 4 possible causes for these codes- 1 air flow sensor boots dry rotted- 2 PCV hose has a hole (usually from separator to dipstick tube)- 3 Mass Air Flow Sensor- 4 DISA valve leaking.

 

I think vantaam5 is right on; these are usually caused by failing MAF's though some might get amplified by the failing O2 sensors as well. You shouldn't rule out bad intake gaskets or the gaskets along the MAF tube to the intake.

 

 

its the 2 oxygen sensors on the upper most part of the manifold closest to the cylinder head
chnage them both and that will get rid of the
E3 Fuel trim bank 1, permissible range exceeded
E4 Fuel trim bank 1, permissible range exceeded
