E39 Winter Hibernation (Last Pics of Season, Pic Heavy)

Hi everyone,
So as the weather is starting to get colder here in Chicago its time to put the E39 to bed for the winter. But before I put the E39 to bed I thought that I would take a few pics on one of the last nice days that it looks like we’re are going to be having for quite some time here in Northern Illinois . This winter I am hoping to get some wheel spacers, new wheels and black window trim.. along with a few other things that are on the list for now that will be installed this winter/ spring. It was an amazing summer this year and I can’t wait until next year already as much as I love the snow. This weekend it’s getting its final detail and winter prep done then into my garage and put the snow tires on the Audi around mid November.

I think that some of the pics came out ok for a quick photo shoot.

Comments welcome!!!
Thank you everyone

What's the emblem on your side moldings? Can we get a close-up of that? If it's what I think it is I might know someone who's looking for the same thing.

It does quite a bit!! I'm trying to find people with the Monochrome ///M stripes (like myself) to get together because we're trying to find a vendor to make side emblems to match. One of the board members I've contacted wasn't looking for the ones we're trying to get made but wanted these. I'm pretty sure from his description these are exactly the ones he's looking for! I'm going to point him towards this thread and he might contact you. Thanks for the response!

I see some repeat pics from TCG! Wish me luck in this horrible winter we're about to have, as I'll be driving the M through it!

why not drive it during the winter? especially since its not an m5 ( not hating at all ) just saying you can fit smaller wheels and not worry about buying expensive snows.

I have a e39 m5 and e46 m3 vert that my gf drives and we drive them year round in upstate ny winters which are known to be pretty bad but they do fine with a bag of sand in the back and the tcs on all the time.

as long as your car has limited slip diff i think it would be fine, if its a 540 i think it does have limited slip
