Csoft V6.5 full vehicle diagnostics BMW : 1988-2005

Dear all
Reconciling fault code diagnosis readouts with actual physical faults appears
not to be the most straight forward task for some Stealers & independents that I have experienced locally....
I cite a local fellow enthusiast who owns a E39 M5 & a referral to a specialist a couple of months ago
"Well ,it might be this or it could be that"
Or
"We have had some problems with our latest software revision...."

Yet again, I look the fool for recommending after several hundred £££ is spent.
Time to mend another bridge.
I took on the vehicle myself to resolve & resolve it I did.

For the above reasons, I have recently invested in the latest software to cover full OBD 11
fault diagnosis & reset on any BMW made between 1988-2005, the limit of analysis being the number DME interface leads I am prepared to buy
& many vehicles more recent to this date still residing within the stealer network.
This equipment allows full interrogation & in some cases, adjustment of each vehicles systems including security, lighting ,brakes, o/e hifi coding etc,
in additionto the obvious engine ,transmission & suspension interrogation.

I trust this may be of use to some of you.

So you sorted it yourself? Did you actually get the carsoft to work? I tried this just over a year ago with an interface from ebay and it was unresponsive.

We had this system at my previous employer and a mechanic I regularly use has it aswell. Its not very uncommon overhere.

I would be surprised if member Tomba would not have it in their workshop.

Its a helpful tool , but still requires an even more sharp mind to set up the brain interface

Yes Wout, we have 7.1 version in our workshop. I'm not fully satisfied with the program but it covers allot (especially for the E34).

I'm busy now with a GT1 / DIS workstation and hope we can codec ABS modules, cilinder balancing test for early diesels and some other things. These things I really mis with the carsoft package.

If you don't have (original) BMW tester I don't know a better alternative diagnostic software than carsoft.

This version can't display live data. I tryed.
The carsoft 6.5 can?
I realy interesting the live data on my old obd1 m5.
Some of friends who have e34 m5 3.8 told me the carsoft can't display live data....is it true?

6.5 can, but not on any E34
From E46/E39 and on you can.

Yes for the E34, we use Bosch KTS tester for older cars. You can't use live data for the E34/E36 and older.
