It's Here!

My M5 is Beautiful. It makes great noises. It Drifts! It's a way better car than I am a driver. I was looking for the ASC button. It doesn't have one!
No Nanny. This is gonna be fun.

Good stuff Terry ......you should get at least 3 months before the snow kicks in , so plenty of time to perfect your drifting !

Let us know how you get on !

Congratulations Terry. You'll have to plan a trip to cottage country and get out of that crowded city you live in.

Congratulations!!!
Was this the car with 32km!! on the odo????

In that case you should be aware of that despite being an old car, it is NOT run in, so you should carry out a normal break-in procedure before unleashing all the ponies......

Dr. Sakke

32km? No. 32k kms. Yes. Surely the engine is broken in by now? The manual is in Japanese, not one of the languages I speak. The search function did not produce any useful results.

Some initial thoughts:
My e31 850 is v12 autobox with a 3.91 diff (not LSD) and Conforti chips. it is a quiet, fast and butter-smooth GT car. The engine takes you away in a woosh of effortless torque. I feel like I am taxiing out to the tarmac. Knock-out styling gets a lot of looks. Everthing is a little remote in feel, but it will eat up highway like nothing else.

My e34 M5 is much more buzzy, immediate and involving. A track car with 4 doors. The throttle is there NOW. No drive by wire. The shifter is notchy and I am getting used to the clutch engagement, but the clutch is not heavy at all. No heavier than a Ford Focus to my foot. I love the noise the engine makes and the sound and feel of the lopey idle. Females pay not attention to it. Gearheads give the thumbs up. I am looking forward to more miles.
Ballasted HIDs headlights have been installed and work well, as does the keyless entry system. It does not have factory installed radar detector as first thought. That was the remote entry gubbins.
One throwing star cover right side was cracked during delivery and the gorillas that moved it around need to change their clothes and wash their hands. An interior detailing is required.
Will post pics on Sunday.

i have named her Sabine. Can you guess why?

Pleased to join the club!
