Me saying ffs, was typically light hearted, - you'll need to explain 'cloggy' tho......
FFS Phil, don't you know that "Cloggy" is the colloquial term for anything Dutch
Yes, I do spend most time in the Alpina section (and even more on the alpina register forum) so I tend to be selective about the posts I keep up with here - I have to do some work now and again!
Thanks for the mention Phil. I'd love to have come along but I'll be nightshift all that week, work is crazy at the moment. Hope yoos have a great time in Sconnie Botland.
Be sure to see the Greet Traack of Knackhull though.
Many Triomph Staaags there with Lots of Tarque

Wout, it could be so much better than it is. Good to see your Scots is coming on well.....
As Stevie points out it's a bit of a trek by road from the continent, but there is a ferry from Zeebrugge that delivers you less than 10 miles from Knackhull. Not worth a trip to see the circuit but the roads in the North are spectacular and well worth an e34 tour.
I am taking the ferry from Rosyth to Zebrugge next month to go to Spa - sadly it takes 5 hours longer than it did the last time I took it! They've got a slower boat now, but still have the cheek to call it "superfast"
The main problem with that route is the price - it's costing me nearly £300 - I'm going alone and can't even get a cabin, have to sleep on some bloody "aircraft style" seat *sigh*
As to the roads? What more can be said about the roads here - myself and the ex-girlfriend had a magnificent run today up round Loch Lomond and the Campsies in the beautiful evening light .... hardly a car around as well, it was lovely!
OK Folks, I propose the following for our mini meet, nae micro meet.
7/7.30/8pm 25/7 @ Rutland Bar, Rutland Place, Edinburgh. This is at the West End of Princess Street and convienent for parking and Public Transport.
If we want to eat there are several Restaurants in the area, i.e. La Piazza, for Italian, The Rendezvous for Chinese, McGirdy's for Steaks, Various Indian, Mexican etc close by as well - along with plenty other pubs.
an alternative to Town Centre would be to Go to South Queensferry and have dinner / drinks at The Rail Bridge / Hawes Inn.
all the places i have suggested should be reasonable for choice, quality and price but are by no means 5* hote cusine eateries.
Let me know who's coming and any suggestions etc. I'm totally flexible about what we do / where we go.
Cheers.
Being from Greenock, I will be happy with anywhere .... but South Queensferry sounds nice I must admit, might as well make best use of the evening weather! ... plus a nice shot of my car in front of the bridge!
