Midlands Injector cleaning?

Hi Lads,

Any tips on where I can find someone to service my injectors (strip & ultrasonically clean) in the midlands. Coventry/Leamington area preferably.

I think this is the last step in hopefully making sure my engine is in tip top shape. EAT chip will be fitted after that!

Cheers

T

These guys may be worth a call Tel.......

Name: Avonside Motors
Address: Abbey Lane, Evesham, Worcestershire, WR11 4BN
Phone: 01386 45082
Experiences: Bruce Moore is an ex-BMW-main dealer technician who has excellent product knowledge of the older M models. Enthusiastic, helpful, trustworthy, and very reasonably priced. Has maintained my M5 and M3 for a number of years, and I can't fault the service. Willing to take on any job from routine servicing up to full engine rebuild.
Rating: 10/10

Cheers D,

I'll give 'em a bell.

But I though injector servicing is a pretty specialised job, in terms of the equipment needed.

Tel , funnily enough , the company that you mention are ' specialists ' in injector cleaning and like to make it sound like rocket science .

I'm willing to wager that those guys near you could clean your injectors to a satisfactory standard !

Injectors are ultrsonically cleaned.
flow rates are measured for uniformity.
Its not rocket science.
You just need to spend out on the equipment which is a rather focused expensive piece of kit....ie only good for cleaning injectors & measuring their flow.!

Cheers
Farrell

Faz , I anticipated at least one engineer or injection specialist jumping on my post and I agree with your comments .

I also know that were ones injectors to be blocked / inefficient , they can simply be removed , flushed through with injector cleaning fluid at pressure and will certainly be improved !

Obviously , it's a case of how perfect do you wish you E34 M5 to be and how much are you willing to spend !

Saving up for a razor first mate.

Besides, didn't realise I had to dress up for a mechanicing session!

I'll put a suit on next time we're scratching around under the car.

When you see my car you'll ralise that 'what is does is more important then what it looks like' is my philosphy.

Please lads..
No clothes jokes.
I had Wout on at me for wearing Addidas T shirts..!

He then turns up at a meet with a girls embriodered blouse.

Back OT.
Injectors do improve with cleaning...no question.
However, its the shape of the nozzle that is as critical for low speed injector
dwell @ idle where the injector ticks over or at fast idle below 2,500 rpm & where you need emissions compliance & no actual load on the engine, which is a vastly different scenario to the part & full throttle load condition that requires flow as priority over inector nozzle spray pattern for best atomisation
into the intake.

Old injectors lose their spray pattern as the nozzle wears.
This is pressure / detergent in fuel related.
Its why many older cars develop a stumble from idle to wide throttle openings & can cause headaches with overfuelling on the emission test...!
Injector cleaning will not eradicate the worn injector nozzle condition.
I cite mine as an example of the above.

Cheers
Faz
