I currently have a bad feeling about my Honda being ready for Spa.
As a boy scout I was taught to plan for the worst and hope for the best

thus my backup plan involves taking my M5 instead.
I am, however, concerned that it will either not be much fun on Spa (unlikely, sure it's fun on any track), or more to the point will get absolutely destroyed by the speed - i.e. brakes won't last a damn and the tyres will heat up to ludicrous amounts quickly, plus I'll go through two full sets (it's two days on track).
Any inputs? If so, I'd obviously be getting as much preventitive servicing done beforehands (including fully reconned EDC if Mike's man comes up with the goods) along with any bushes that have failed.
Nearly new brembo blanks and Mintex 1166 pads on the front, rears about to be done - so should have no concerns about brakes, albeit it's the small front ones and it's a heavy car.
I am currently leaning towards the M5 being a bad idea, but if it's that or nothing I'll be going in it - I'm not missing this trip!
Thanks for your input,
Stephen
PS: I've driven Spa 3 times so know it well, plus have extensive trackday experience ... just not in a super saloon!
