boot badge anomaly ?

The BMW 'propellor' emblem.......

is it supposed to be 82mm diameter front and rear (i.e. bonnet/boot badges)

or is it 82mm front and 76mm rear ? or some other configuration

I'm confused....I need a rear boot badge primarily , and the one fitted on mine is 82mm .....some i've seen for sale, quote 76mm

REALOEM states part number 51148132375 .......now is this 82 or 76 mm ?

thanks for any advice offered (just tarting up some faded badgery )

Hola Scorchio....both the front and rear emblems on the E34 are 82mm .

The E39 5 series has the smaller rear badge ......76mm

p.s. By the time you pay p&p on the bay , you'll probably find that the badges are cheaper from your main dealer .
