brake pads - you are down to the brake pad sensor wire.

Get some new pads!

Could be the pads front or back, but there is only one sensor wire on each axle, as the car assumes roughly the same wear side to side. You'll have to look whats worn where.

Replace on a per axle basis, and it's likely you'll need a new sensor wire. It's cheap and breaks when the pad wears down.......get one of those for the appropriate wheel.

Euro Car Parts were best on price for the original Textar pads when I did my brakes last year, though I did replace front floating disks with genuine ones from BMW, as the price difference was negligable after discount.

If you go on the Euro Car Parts web site, you'll have to order disks or pads as 850 CSi or you won't get the right ones (1995 bigger brakes). E34 sensor wires though. I ordered 8 series like the other parts and they have a different connector.

If you need more info when you know where you are at, just ask.

Mark

I guess the Germans could have let the computer say "Brake Pads" instead!

ah well, i curtailed my spirited driving once when my OBC was in German, and it was only teling me that my windscreen washer was low! I think i posted on here going "OMG what's wrong eek!".

Feels more authentic in German!

All though for some reason it feels it shouts louder and more urgently when in german!!!

If you don't ask the question, you won't get the answer.........
