Badge Template?

Hey guys,

I know that this has been asked before, but I couldn't find the answer anywhere. Does anyone have the template for the correct position of the M5 badge on the boot (trunk) lid please? I really did search as I know it's been posted here before, but could only find mention of the E39 M5 badge.

Thanks

John

Bottom right corner of the 5 is 27mm in and 24mm up from the edge of the bootlid.

The M obviously goes to suit......prob best doing by eye after........

Hope this helps a bit........

Hi!!
I think you got it wrong there.....

should be :
- from the bottom lip of the trunk = 16mm
- from right edge of trunk to outside of the "5" = 26mm
- gap between the "M" and the "5" = 8mm

The E30 M3 shop manual specifies a gap of 9mm between the M and the 3, so it's pretty safe to conclude that a gap range of 8 - 10mm is the correct range for the gap between the emblems. I'm going to redo mine at 16mm bottom, 26mm side, and 9mm gap in-between.

Ah right........had measured mine with a ruler in the garage, looks like its OK horizontally then but too high.

Was like that when I bought it..........

Looks like we have certified measurements.
