Changing rear shocks to dry system
Im changing the original rear shocks of my e-34 1991 M5 to a dry system. What do I have to do with the shocks oil pump, remove it disactivate it, or what ?

There was a guy who posted here recently telling us all about the horrors of oil leaks he'd had since his local mechanic "fixed" him up with some standard shocks in place of the self levelers....

I've not investigated it myself but just bear in mind you've got fluid under pressure in those lines at the back of the car....

I may have a look under mine at the weekend & see what the deal would be...if i come up with anything useful i'll let you know.

If you go to the Dinan website, you can find the rear load leveling system elliminator kit. This will do the trick as far as converting over to regular shocks at the rear. I've hear of people taking out the whole system, resevoir and all, but from what I understand, it is run off of the power steering system, so I don't know how they do that. If you find out, please post it, as I would like to do the same to mine eventually.
