Weight on front seats?

Hi everyone.

Does any one knows the weight on the front seats? I´m thinking of reducing some weight and at the same time keep the lether on the seats in good shape/condition.

Hej Micke

Hope all is well.
What are you planning with your seats? a refurbishment? Or a replacement with a set of the more comfortable sports seats available?

I think I read somewher that the seats weigh between 25-30kgs each.

I'd say the electric seats are more like 60kgs, having just moved house and having had to transport a full interior...

Hi James:

Yes everything is just fine. How are things with you?

My plans with the car is to save the good condition on my seats and at the same time reduce some weight. There are some guys hear that wants to race me and I will not be the last one . Its way to expensiv to do something to the engine so weight reducing came up.

Illjah:

My god, 60kg. Jiisus. Tanks for the answers.

I read I think here or in czech forum, that ele. seat is about 20KG...it was suprising for me, because I waited more...

Hi

Electric leather seat weights 28,25 kg each. This is checked from ETK. So 56,5 kg both. I´m changing to my car Sparco racing seats and they weight with all stuff needed to install them into car 20 kg both, so weight saving of 36,5 kg. These are easy to change, only two bolts in the rear and of course the electric connection in original seats.

By the way, if someone wants to keep all the seats in good condition the rear seat can be removed too, and there is some good weight saving in it too...

But then it don´t look like a luxury Sedan anymore. It´s easy to remove when needed.

Best Regards, Janne.
