'Ring' Trip - May 26th - 28th 2007

Just wanted to let people know of another 'Ring' trip that is taking place on the 26th - 28th May 2007 as I am sure that not everyone will be able to make the joint German and UK M5 meet.

Myself, Peter Pan and Hertfordshire1 are booked to go to the NS on Saturday 26th May, returning on Monday 28th May. The NS is open for tourist laps on the Saturday from 6pm - 7.30pm, Sunday and Monday from 8am - 7pm.

We are using the Tunnel to get to France and are booked on the 7.50am train going out and the 21.50pm on the return journey (times are flexible for the return crossing).

In addition to this I have a number of rooms reserved with the Hotel Blau Ecke for both nights, a couple of which are still available. The rooms are costing €99 per night (double rooms , single rooms not available) and include breakfast for 2 people.

The dates are set, as is the journey time out.

If anyone else is interested in joining us for this trip please let me know via PM? The available rooms I have reserved will be allocated on a first come first serve basis.

Thanks,

Jon

Jon, I'm going to catch up with Steve on Wednesday night, but I'll be needing one of those rooms for two please. Just need to book my chunnel.

Hope I'll be allowed to come along. The R32 goes back on Friday to be replaced with a new diesel hearse. Woohoo! Can't wait to get my hands all stinky filling up at the Derv pump again! :-)

See you soon!

Update:

The 4 rooms I had reserved at the Blau Ecke are now gone. I have spoken with the Hotel and they will make available a further 4 rooms in the Historic part of the hotel should they be required.

Current convoy includes:

Peter Pan - Calypso Red 6sp
Finaledition - Orinnoco Green LE
Hertfordshire1 - LHD 3.8 5sp with Schricks
Andy E / Jen - E90 Derv Wagon (driving ability making up for the lack of performance, Andy is a good driver as well)
Jon Baker - Daytona Violet 6sp

As Steve has said, this trip is going to be legendary!!

Jon

Yeah, but since I am practically thinking in Februari already, I am not sure if the M5 will be ready.

Won't be working many saturdays anymore though, so I guess I'll have more opportunity to fix all the small bugs. Clutch won't be a small thing though.

Plus I have an E36 325i with a torn subframe/chassis, driveshaft, top mounts and rear miscellanious to deal with now aswell.

M5 has über priority now.

So then, its a race then to see wether you or Burton gets his car back on the road first....!
Once that Sub is fitted, he will be able to see that self dimming mirror shake as he sees all the damper oil leaking out behind the car..
