Anyone got 2 rear 255/40/17 Tyres ?

Hi guys and gals .....has anyone got 2 part worn 255/40/17 tyres surplus to requirements .......I put the silver 3.8 through an MOT yesterday and a combination of spinning the back up and previously over inflated ( in the region of 55psi when i collected the car ) tyres resulted in a fail notice .

2 new rears and a free retest , then she will have a years mot.......

Can anyone assist ? Have funds , will travel .......

M8 , you are a star and I thank you for the offer.......I've just had my tyre guy at Glemsford put a decent Uniroyal ( sorry , I know the words decent and Uniroyal don't blend ) on , which will get it through an MOT .

I would still be interested if anyone has a matched pair though , as I now have a Pirelli and a Uniroyal combo at the back !

David
I have 2 Michelin pilot sports 255x40x17
I have just run the vernier over the treads.
One is 3.5mm across the centre 50% of the tyre.
25% either side of that is 4.5 to 5mm
The other is 2mm across the 25% of the tyre.
There is 3.5 to 4mm either side of that.

Do you want them m8 ?
pm pls.

Cheers
Faz

I was going to lend you my throwing starts with brand new Toyo's on them until i got to the part where you fitted the Uniroyal.

It is great how everyone helps each other out on here.
