I'm back! And so is my M

Hi all,

Been a long time away from the board, but I am still in possession of my car (just!).

The good news is that it's coming out of hibernation to be used on a part time basis (5,000 miles per annum).

And even better news is that I'm taking it to the 'ring on the weekend of Jun 16/17.

Anyone else likely to be around at that time - maybe we could hook up?

Cheers,

Rob

Fantastic Rob!

If you've still got that 18yo girlfriend of yours, I take it the tides have turned now, haven't they?

Welcome back mate. Glad you listened to us.

BTW You didn't miss anything..Save for Davidoli buying/selling a dozen of cars, Anthony getting a Jag, Faz still old, and me....well, clutch not done yet!

Wout

Good to hear from you Rob, and glad to hear that you still have your M5.

By its description it would have been too good to sell!

Am planning to get to the 'Ring' around the time you mention but do not know for sure. If the 16th / 17th look likely I will let you know.

Out of interest how many miles does yours have on it? I seem to remember that yours was a mint low miler?

Enjoy the car!!

Rob,

We will be at the 'ring that weekend. I won't be in the M5 but will have the M3 which is where it does most of it miles.

I don't know how well you know the place but if you would like a few sighting laps to learn the lines I will be happy to take you out.

Well done for hanging onto the M5. I have been driving mine this week for the first in far too long and I have fallen in love again. Wow what a car.

Cheers
Kevin

Rob

I think the Dutch crowd will be pretty well represented aswell...

By that time, the Sebring is roadtaxed again and I still have some Ringlaps left..

Would be great meeting you too Kevin, curious about the M3...Never seen one in Macau in the flesh!

Wout,

It would be great to meet you, the M3 should be easy to spot as it has a BMW Motorsport sunstrip (white lettering on blue background). The visors don't work due to the rollcage.

Cheers

Would be great if you were there at the same time. Let's keep in touch eh?

As for mileage.......I honestly can't remember!!! I bought it just over 2 years ago with 52,000 miles on it, and I did a LOT of miles in it.

Got a feeling it's somewhere around the 80,000 mile mark now...... still low though I guess - and it won't do more than 5,000 a year from here on in!

Fantastic Kevin!

I've been once before - 2 years ago in a tweaked 944 turbo (not mine).

Did about 3 or 4 laps if I remember correctly. A couple of the guys I'm going with are fairly experienced, but I'll definitely take you up on your offer of at least one sighting lap.

Can't bl00dy wait now!
