cracked lense

hi all,
is it poss to get a new lense for my headlight or do i have to change whole unit???
cracked it on motorway today...not happy!
may even consider...gulp...angel eyes.saw them on a mates e34 and they looked quite good!

You can get a new lense from German Swedish or Euros' ...they are OEM Hella's and are about £22 + vat each......about a third of dealer price !

I wouldn't bother with the ebay 'headlights with angel eyes' as they'll crack as soon as a stone hits them - nowhere near as strong as the OEM ones.

yes you can split the lense and replace this part only, but having seen it done first hand its a right ball ache of a job.

I think a complete unit is only £35...

It's not that terrible difficult when you accept to scrap the old adjustment screws and use new ones when assembling the new lenses.

Rob,

If your carefull you can remove individual light units from the housing.
I replaced just one inner main beam unit on the car prior to you buying it as i was damned if i was going to buy a whole new unit (pair).
