Evo Feb 07 E34 M5 Article

Just got my copy of Evo with the £10k Heroes article. Great write-up on Richard Carmichael's LE.

Reading this indicates that I probably haven't exploited the full capabilities of my own car since I bought it last year. Must get it on a track soon!!

I shall be writing a full 'blog' on here about the shoot with images, but signed an agreement with the magazine not to do anything until the article was published. Will get working on it next week!

I'm a subscriber, so it may not be on the shelves today. May be in a day or so?

I was told when doing the article that it would hit the shops around Jan 11th.

Its a 16 page article with 5 pictures of the M5. The M5 write-up is only 6 paragraphs long but is full of praise for the performance and handling.

They describe the car as "Immense" but do point out it is 200kg lighter than todays M5. Some choice quotes:
"immensly satisfying"
"seemingly limitless composure"
"astonishingly wieldy, nible car"
"revel in the engine's response and the chassis' remarkably tweakable balance"
"the big BMW would be a great car to own. It's reliable, bursting with character and genuinely rapid"

They do criticise the steering (rightly so i.m.o.), and the car's bulk.

I'm looking forward to re-sale values being given a bit of a boost as a result of this article
