E34 Suspension Ride Height Thread

This has been popular on an E30 forum, and gives folks (like myself) an idea of how low different springs are.

Please include:
-Profile shot of the car (On a flat surface)
-Springs
-Shocks/Struts
-Other suspension modifications
-Wheel/Tire size

Thanks!

This might be a better thread on bimmerforums.com, they tend to be rather spontaneous shutterbugs over there.

This is true. Our 'Picture Thread' has turned out quite nicely though.

I guess i'll get the ball rolling. But not sure how much use it'll be, unless you can find an AC Schnitzer supplier with some old stock collecting dust!

Front : ACS springs/ Koni Sport 1157 adjustables
Rear : ACS springs and SLS shocks. ride height arm is still in original position.
Tyres: Continental winter tyres TS790s, 245/45 17 all round.

when i get my 750iL brakes and M5 wheels fitted i swear we are going to be twins! I was thinking of painting my calipers since they need to be blasted, maybe i'll go with something other than black now

Come on Guys.
Imho this thread is spurious & any data herein as far as measurements taken from body & trim parts rather than chasis & suspension datums should be treated with caution.
The whole equation can vary hugely just between the same quoted tyre size from differing manufacturers, ie the design circumference size & the inservice overall size can be massive between any make you care to name.

To then then take it OT is not a great way of seeing the thread progress, if at all.

Cheers
Farrell

Yeah, the whole idea of this thread is to get a taste of what different springs and setups might look like. It may not be exactly the same on your vehicle, but it's likely it'll be very close.

Anyway, thanks GoneAgain for the contribution.
