Guys

In my constant search for E34 M5 pictures, I stumble across the "gallery" option often. I think I have over 1000 M5 pics in stock now, and some more on the old harddisk

I would like to have a thread where everybody simply posts their best single picture of their car, I know most can be found in galleries but still it would be nice to have such a thread IMO

My best pic is at Brünnchen and already shown in the thread on post # 2000
If you post a pic, best blank out the license plate

It may seem a bit pointless but anybody who has spend a lot of time in the galleries will understand this. Plus its nice to put names to cars more easily.

Many thanks in advance

W

you have to first host it.
use for example imageshack.us or photobucket.com to host them.

after that, just copy the direct link for the picture and put it like this example:
Code:

Its just an apartment I currently rent. I'd say I pay around $120 average a month for the gas/electric/water combo bill which isnt too extreme. It does look like a shack on the outside though doesn't it :hihi: It only snowed for 1 day roughly, then it was sunny for the next few days so it sounded like it was raining for awhile when all the snow was melting off. This was Saturday and it was 25-30F outside...its 70F out today...darn psycho weather!

Oxford Green 3.8

Hi

And now, a green one.........

Thanks to the excellent register at e34m5.se I know that the interior was not by BMW Individual. Personally I love it, but then I always loved the E36 GT that I guess was the inspiration. The car is a UK 3.8 5 sp with 148k miles and pretty good history showing 98 service/parts invoices adding up to c.£14k for it's owners and £8k for BMW when they fitted a new engine at 73,000 miles. Aside from fitting a Becker Cascade, this car will be staying pretty standard, though when the brakes need replacing I'll be looking at the floating discs if they bolt on. The EDC is a whole different question, so hopefully it won't break for a while! It is also back on a standard age related plate.

Now I just have to sell the 850Ci. Because I really should. I know I should. And I will. Honest.........

Cheers

Julian

beautiful car, i like the interior as well. Not sure if the bigger brakes will fit with the replica wheels though. They will clear with original M system wheels.

Thanks, I like the colour a lot - it just seems to give it more presence, but in a very grown up way. Or something like that!

I can't decide about the wheels. They are BMW wheels, M-Tech type 23 I think, but I'm not sure what they were originally fitted to. I suspect their fitment means there are big spacers involved which tends to make me think I need to get wheels with the correct dimensions. I always liked the throwing stars, so I think I'll be looking for a set of those pretty soon. That they are the 'right' wheels is always good as well.

Cheers

the lip looks a little too deep to me to be an e36 wheel, but in the US, those were called "M Contour" and came on the e36 m3 with the lux package.

Rondell made a replica of the wheel in correct e34 offset, with the deeper lip, which was my guess as to your wheels.

I'm a fan of the original M system wheels, have a staggered set on my car currently with the throwing star covers, and the turbine covers in the garage for when the mood strikes.

Hi Julian - nice car and good to see a slightly rarer colour every once in a while too :)

The wheels you have would have been OE on the E36 M3 Saloon - although I have seen them on a few Coupe/Convertible models too. It might just be the pics, but it looks like you've got the deep dish on the front as well whereas these were only ever fitted to the rear axle as standard.

Get some nice System II wheels with throwing stars and you'll have a very good looking E34 there. The paintwork looks in very good shape.

Enjoy and welcome!

Hi Duncan

Yep, I had a look at e-bay earlier to see if I could find any, but just ended up swearing a lot! I always thought about getting some for the 850 but on that I prefer the 3 piece BBS cross-spokes that it has.

I think it must be the pictures that make it look like that. The tyres are definitely staggered at least. I actually quite like the wheels, but the throwing stars are better. And will definitely clear bigger discs........

Cheers
