Yeah, that's why you have a rev limiter! To crash it and abuse it (kids, don't do it at home...)

Theres abuse then theres ABUSE,I know which I prefer? Plus if he didnt just plant it and rev the shite out of it he wouldnt of ended up in relatively uncontrolled, almost donut style, spinning around in circles?

I am sorry that I can't be as enthusiastic as some of you guys

Don't want to sound arrogant but I doubt it that they're any forum members here that lack the "vehicle control" needed for such actions.

Its all nice and fun to drift donuts, and yes I have done it too in the past, but still..I won't applaud to that..

I was in a rather different E34 this weekend that demands some credit beyond that turbo vid car. Not only the car, especially the driver who is active on this board..It was purple, empty,on "slow" tyres and caused me to search for words the first two minutes I got out of the car.

That's ride showed how the car is intended and which way improvement must be searched.

Those doughnuts are kid stuff if you ask me..Just put your foot down and steer for the grace of god..And nobody will notice if you spin it unintentionally...I always find it strange that 500+ bhp cars still need to go all the way to the rev limit to perform a doughnut with an LSD.I'll tell you my 3.6 can manage a doughnut below 4500rpm.

Sorry for being thorough and rather sceptical about vids like this, but this contributes to the fact that we will probably have a 800bhp stock M5 in 2013, which will be a slave to its laptime and 1/10 of the E34 fun to drive.

Man, you failed...

I don't mind him doing donuts, or hitting the limiter, or spending a fortune in tires and cooked diffs (that dones't impress me)
I've just liked the fact that he has a turbo under his bonnet and is not hanging an Alpina badge. Even BMW did it with their M1s, so... why not?
I've always been a fan of turbos, as they can be built to be spool "fast" with sensible power outputs (not that a 3.6 likes to pull down the revs, I think my RS2 gave the power sooner...), or go lag crazy with more power potential. It's just a matter of tastes. You know I'm not going precisely in that route, but I'd have liked it if I had more founds. Only time will tell, but, for me, an E34 with a well specced turbo kit, susp., brakes and the lot is more than worth a try (and a good fun with some "modern cars"....).
I said.
