Warranty

Got my eye on an E39 M5 to add to my overdraft

No warranty with the car

Any updates on a good company ( if there is one )

Probably loads of old threads about this but anything new?

I used to be a warranty underwriter a few years back and learnt that most warranty companies are crooks.

If I were to recommend one it would be Warranty Direct - but only because they are the most commercially known and therefore value their reputation.

As with all things the devil is in the detail so make sure you check out the smallprint about how you can make a claim and what for. Always check for a consequential damage clause as that can stitch you up on such expensive cars as M5's.

Only my 2p worth,

Jon

I'd agree with Jon, having wasted my cash on an extended warranty offered by the selling dealer (not BMW but AFAIK owned by Ford).
I had a few items which should have been covered. Tried and failed on each occasion. I
If you are likely to need something, then it isn't covered and hidden away in the small print.

Save the premium for use on the repairs (You will need it ).
