Painting my stars - The Unofficial BMW M5 Messageboard (m5board.com)

I recently saw pictures of a sterling silver e34 M5 with the t-star covers painted black. I thought it looked quite good on that colour of car so I thought I might do the same. What's the proper method to have them painted, powder coating? I know zero about painting so I wouldn't be doing this myself.

any paint shop will do them.

Originals need stripping (maybe sand blasted) and then repainting.

Powder coating would be good, but prob cost more.

I have a set of Sebring stars for my Sebring 3.6 if it rises from the ashes once more.... I think black stars look good on black cars, or red cars, not sure on other colours though....

Mine's sterling silver so the black would compliment the trim well while the body colour is closer to the rim.

Hmmmm, i also like the black look........

and would stop me having to clean them all the time!!

On black and red they look wicked i think.

I'm hoping to see my sebring stars on the sebring, as I've wanted to do that for ages....
