Rear Pitman Arms. Easy job??

Evening all,

Just failed my Controle Technique(MOT) on rear pitman arms (No 6).

How easy are they to change? can i do it in my dingy undergroud carpark fairly easily?

Looks like unbolt old ones & bolt on the new ones.

Any tips?

Cheers lads.

It needs to be done when the wheels are in normal position, so don't jack it up. You need to do it on a hoist that raises the car by the wheels, not on a two- or four-post hoist. I hope you are skinny
Otherwise, it is just undo and bolt up the new ones.

Or yo can jak the whole car, change the parts, lower and torque with a long torque bar.

I did it this way earlier this year and I am not skinny.

You will find the right side a little trickier than the left so be prepared.

Also, you need to lock the top nut (which I didn't do which added a further 10 minutes to the job) with a spanner/socket.
