Hi..

U have already heard my idle-problems.. And my gearbox stucked in 2gear. The Steering box also need replacement.

Me and my buddy, now have comes to this conclusion.. We take the engine out and send the gearbox to a gearboxmechanic and get it rebuilded.

Checking the engine total, also all the wiring.

Is there any good guidelines to remove/install the M5 engine ??

If you are not rebuilding the box yourself, it is usually financially prohibitive to have it rebuilt, because individual synchroniser units and gears (1+2 3+4 they are shared) are expensive and around £300 (UK) each and on top of that you will have a lot of labour charges. Considering the boxes only go for about a max. of £500 you are probably better of getting a second hand one. Have you checked to make sure it is not an issue with the gear linkages?

There are no problem with the gearshift under the car.

First he will check whats wrong with the gearbox, and then i get 2 prices. 1 just making the gearbox and 2 price for rebuild it
