Comments from women sitting in my M5

I had both my younger sisters in the back of the M5 today over a 200 mile journey. They don't usually get the chance to sit in the car - this is what their comments were -

"the seats are too hard"
"it feels like my head is resting on a rock" (headrests)
"Why is it so bumpy in here?"
"Why is the engine making that noise when you accelerate"
"this car is stupid, I keep getting pushed into the seat"
"My back hurst"
"How comes your going faster without pressing the pedal?" (cruise control)
"Oh look at that car - why can't you buy one of those!" (Audi TT)

EDC:

"What's that green button on the dash do?"

I switch it on -

"Bloody hell! it's even more bumpy now!"

"Ok, can you turn the "bump" button off now please!"......

"Can you buy a smoother car please"

......... I had to listen to this all day!

At least my wife likes it.

Sal

I had similar comments on mine:

Why is so hot inside this car?? (gearbox darling)

It's noisy

It's a grandad car!

300 Kmh/? Come on, you're a poser...

You should take it to the dealer, it shackes on idle

A car this big and just four seats?

I remember a day, when on a coastal road my ex-girlfriend told me to stop after overtaking a lorry. The car moved it's arse just a little bit when on the white line, and she thought we were going to die...

Where did you find an understanding wife Cyrus? I also want one...

I was like..."huh"!!???

Do you realise how rare and capable an E34 M5 is??

Reply - "looks like a normal 4 door fuddy duddy car to me, why don't you buy that car over there" (points to Mercedes SLK280).

There is no getting through to most women!

What is the deal, my wife gets it and likes driving it. But my sisters were like "Why would you pay that much for that car when you can get a new Honda for about the same?"

I think the general thing about women when it comes to cars is that:

1) The newer it is the better it is and hence the faster it should be.
2) The prettier it is the better is and hence should get more +ve comments from their friends.
3) The higher it is the better it is because they are more likely to get noticed.

They think cars are like their collection of high heels!

My wife will hopefully be going to a track day with me soon! Looks like I'm quite lucky in this respect. My budget on car spending is never questioned!

Like the story Cyrus

I had to prove my car would reach 250+ ( in germany) to a certain person, though I just told her that I never drove fast when someone else is with me in the car. The car was rewarded with a nice tap on the dashboard and the words; " This BMW M with 6 seperate things for the gas*..I like!!"

Or like a previous GF once told me after a 50-metre powerslide ( ancient Conti's ) :

" Thats GREAT! Can my mother's 1.4 Polo do that!"

* Try to explain " independent throttlebodies" to someone..

I always like the comment, "You mean to tell me this is not a V8? Well, my car has a 6 cylinder too."
