OT: E28 manual gearbox into E24 6

I have found a cheap E24 6 series in reasonable condition and am considering the restoration job the only problem is it has a four speed autobox. i dont want an autobox. as the engine is the same as the E28 535i i would assume the gearbox(5 speed manual) is also interchangable but is there any electronics or mechanisms to cause a problem.

Cheers
