Nurburgring 8th-11th September - anyone care to join the fun??

Yes ill be over in the Fatherland from Friday 8th - Monday 11th September for a couple of days of Ring action.
Travelling over from Dover in the Golf with a few Friends in Elises - at least with no back seats ill be able to pick up all the fibreglass as and when it falls off.
Staying in a Hotel called The Ringhaus - anyone experienced it?.
Any handy tips you guys picked up from your recent Ring trip would be handy.
Ive done lots of trackdays but not been on the 'Ring.

Cheers Pete.

I'll be there anyway as Nynke is attending Scuderia Hanseat training there 6-9Sept.

You do realise that the Ring will be swarming with THE fastest privateers there are and about 300 of them will be pounding the track Not a nice place to be if you're not up to speed........

The track is closed to the public most of the day for Scuderia's use. Only Sunday is a normal TF day, Saturday it's open only after dinner! Friday is Scuderia participants only! Did you guys even look at the website before planning this????

I'm out there that weekend too.

I realise the track is only open Sat eve and Sunday, but was not aware the Scuderia guys were there. Might give it a miss the Sat eve then!

I've been invited by a mad automotive journalist friend who has done maybe the best part of a thousand laps around the course. He is a funny guy and the best driver I know, has driven everything, fast and properly!

On a side note:
The Scuderia guys aren't going to be impressed on Sunday, we're supposed to be catching up with a load of english madmen organising something they've called the "£100 Ford Sierra Nurburging Ring Challenge!"

I don't suppose they will be lapping in anything under half hour...

Regards

Ivan

P.S. Taking the car as I think it may die this year, so it's a last Hurrah for the 16 year old.

Im getting there a day early (friday evening) compared to the rest of the guys who will be arriving on the Saturday Evening so the evening session on the Saturday and all day on the Sunday is fine for us.
Only reason im going on the Firday is i want to break up the travelling so a rest during Saturday daytime will suit me just fine - i can get a good couple of hours in on Saturday to prepare for the full day on Sunday.
Hope to see some of you there.
Keep your eyes out for a quick Red Golf Mk2!

Ivan, and you actually support sh*t like that? You must have thought "How can I help the Greens shut down the Ring as quickly as possible"........

This was broadcasted on German TV last week. Not good!
