EDC not active

Guys

Problem with EDC after recently changing the battery. Switch on ignition (stage 2), EDC switch on dash lights up but goes out after about 5 seconds. Then a bong...message displays 'EDC not active - check owners handbook'. Took out back seat to check EDC Control unit (see attached) and fuse...all seems OK. Then noticed a disconnected wire (probably happened when I disconnected negative lead from battery) from a plug leading to or from the EDC Control Unit (see attached).

Could this be the problem??

Your advice and comments are greatly appreciated.

PS Apologies for blurry photos

I would suggest you disconnect the battery once more,
re connect the loose wire, check all fuses are intact.
Then reconnect the battery and see where you stand.

Hopefully the wire will cure the fault that EDC has logged.

Fingers crossed,

Alan.

That plug goes to the rear acceleration sensor. Would surely make the system throw an error. Make sure the ignition is in the off position before doing an work.
