Looks like i have a oil leak from the top part of the engine.. Very oily and messy at the front of the engine

And now I can see that my rear shock is leaking.

Hope its your rocker cover gasket but doubt it.
Possibles
1. Your timing chain cover is leaking where it abuts the front of the head / head gasket.
A right pain to fix properly without doing the headgasket as well.
It can be sealed but tends to be a 40k miles fix each time.

2. Cam chest gasket seal has gone.
Its a compound sealant rather than a gasket.
Again, the heaadgasket has to be done in conjunction with this job as half the fasteners to disassemble this also clamp the headgasket.

3.Leaking shock = You knew it was only a matter of time !

I don't have this sort of money to do both. So looks like the trip is a No now I am affriad. Unless I can sell my Baume Et Mercier Watch!

Have you fixed it? I think that I have the same problem. Last week I went to oil change to my local dealer and I saw that the whole bottom of the engine was wet from oil. Don't know where does it come from, but I think that it's leaking from the top of the engine. Any ideas?
