joking aside i like them on the car, always have, particularly on the tourings (go on simon you know you want a set..). I really dislike the previous style, but like these m3 type ones (yes i know e34 prior to e36...) and like the old elephant ear style ones (like mine).
Yes I do think they look very nice on but Farrell and you live in the country away from most of those peasky kids who think they look great on their Novas. So there is less chance of some rat knocking them off your car damaging the mounting and possibly the door and cutting the wires so that they can badly attach then to a NOVA.

Also although being LHD I would have an advantage as it would be easier to get them to fit but I like my thin stalk mirrors so I think for a while at least I will stick with my standard ones, much as I may be tempted.

NOTE: I willl try and find the details of how to hook these into the alarm to reduce the threat of the "bash and grab group" . Looked into this when I was looking at a Touring with the Motorsport mirrors (yes that is the real name) at Munich Legends. Once I find the details I will post them on this thread.

Could the base be shimmed where it meets the door thereby adjusting the mount angle? Your view is the same as I have when sitting in passenger seat of mirror adjusted for left hand drive, There is still adjustment outward available so it would seem that there should still be some for your mirror.
