Heater Problem

Recently ive been experiencing a problem with my auto climate control.

It all works fine but when i switch the car off and key out, the heater still has power. ie It still can be turned on and off even though the key is no longer in the ignition.

This causes a problem, as it seems that a small fan runs at the back of the control panel all the time the heater has power and this runs the battery flat over night.

Would appreciate any advice from anyone that has any ideas?!

John

Send a message via MSN to joost
it's normal that the heater still runs with the ignition turned off
after half an hour it should turn off automatically

It's doubtful as it's a UK car (?)
but check and see if it's got independant heating fitted...

With this option, operation of the ventilation system can be programmed via
the OBC on board computer.
When fitted there is a dual operation via the TIMER button on the OBC.

Worth a check in the handbook incase this is so.

When activated this allows the fan/heater to run regardless of ignition key
postion.

Regards,

Alan.
