Another rolling road result

Was at another rolling rod meet at the weekend. Since I've fixed the cracked rubber boot on the intake and replaced the small cracked plastic covers on the throttle bodies and had a service things have improved.

Previous 333BHP now is up to 338 and the torque has gone up approx 30! to 394 ft/lb. The garge has overlaid the two dyno runs and its show that these improvements are across the whole rev range. Although I have my doubts if as to whether the valve on the side of the plenium chamber is actual working I am very chuffed overall just shows what a good bit of TLC can do for these cars.

Anyone know how to post up the dyno run without the aid of a scanner?

PS gotta tell you about a E60 535d that was there - about 320 BHP but 650 torques !!!!!!!

sorry Graham, didn't notice your post until now, Plisken's post brought it back up the list.
The reason I asked about the rr day is that I had not heard about it, a friend of mine is a member of BMW CCS and usually mentions such events so I was being nosey, twas all. Although I might be interested in getting the car on the dyno to see what it produces. Davy has only worked on it a couple of times some it may not be up there with yours.
A little off topic, Chas has mentioned a meet at Scone at the end of the month and I get the impression that the attendance of a few e34 M5's would be welcomed. So now that Plisken (nice to hear from you) has resurfaced and there is another half dozen or so Scottish owners on this forum - should an effort be made to get all the cars to Scone or would that pee off the car club members if some non-member cars turned up ???

Phil.

Not in the slightest. They are only jealous of e34 M5 thats all - all the modern metal just can't keep up! (apart from a modified M3 which is equal). Get yourself along would be great to see some other e34s and meet their 'brave souls' owners. Also total BMW is turning up as well for a potensil article.

The previous RR was done at Falkland performance centre as well and they kindly overlaid the two dyno runs to show the improvement - if I can get my brain out of gear I'll bring along the print out.

Well, in that case we should see what all the jocks are planning on that weekend cause we have; Me, you, Chas, Brian M5, ECM4, Plisken, Nebpor, Shuggy47, M5 Gor(only seen a couple of posts from him), noimeM5(or similar), another guy in Glasgow and another 1 or 2 up North at least, apologies for any I've missed or can't remember, but there's a few that could make the meet.

Didn't realise that there were that many up here! should be a large turn out BMW Scottish region, bmwland, Z4 forum and E30Zone have been invited along , we are trying to beat the last Total BMW meet that was held somewhere down south (55 cars).

Photos of the RR day here:-

http://www.nrobinson5.pwp.blueyonder.../falkland2.htm

Should we post a new thread inviting everyone along?
