The Nurburgring GP track open this weekend

All

Sorry for the short notice, I've only just read about it on touristenfahrer.de

The Ring GP track was/is open to the public this weekend, I've just found out. Not attached to the Nordschleife though, it's open separately.

I'm not suggesting we all race to the ferry port, just thought I'd tell you as it indicates more of a chance of it being open later in the year if there is a racing cup cancellation, where previously the understanding was that it wouldn't happen again.

It's open this weekend because the Castrol Haugg Cup was cancelled at very short notice.

Here's Manfred Strack's statement on TF.de:

Quote:
Es gab kurzfristig etwas Verwirrung, weil jemand mieten wollte. Hat sich aber zerschlagen. Daher am Samstag u. Sonntag Touristenfahrten auf der GP-Strecke.

DSK-Karten haben Gültigkeit. Rote Nummern, 07-Nummern etc. Analog Nordschleife leider nicht.
Cheers,
Andy
