the pressure valve of the coolant reservoir (pressure valve = the socket on the reservoir) opens at 2 bar (for E34 M5 S38) (=29 psi).

The overpressure is used to higher the boiling point of the coolant water (normal 100 degrees celcius). nowadays engines run @ 110 - 113 degrees celcius. (better efficiency).

Probalby the reason why your coolant hoses are hard (otherwise you might change them ) If the engine is could you should sqeesh them easy.

Hi

The hoses is all okay and easy to sqeesh when cold, but just seams hard when the engine is hot, and there will be if it got 2 bars pressure thanks for the reply tomba

I think my termo switch in my radiator for the electric fan is defekt...

The fan is running when I make a loop on the termo switch, but not when engine is hot so better get a new one..
