Is it possible to find a good, original E34?

Hi all,

Some of you might know me from other bimmer boards. Anyway, we are looking for a good, clean, original not modded M5 (and also considering the E39).

The E34 is being considered beceause while it's got a slower engine, it is almost 400 pounds lighter, and I prefer lighter cars.

However it seems like most E34 in this vintage have not been very well cared for and the interior is just not what it should be, not to mention the paint/accidents.

If anyone of you know of a clean, all VIN stickers in tact, no paint work, car enthusiasts level interior, and strong engine with NO MODS, please let me know.

I have not had good lucks in finding cars that I want in this vintage. I searched for 6 months for a good 993 Speed Yellow Turbo, and gave up and got a 996 Speed Yellow. It would be really cool to get a nice example of one of the cars that I really wanted when I was in high school/college.

Re: Is it possible to find a good, original E34?

I have a standard 3.6 e34 with throwing star wheels and half leather seats in silver that /i keep meaning to get around to selling. Paintwork is very good with no bumps or dents. There is a bit of wear on the drivers seat but then it is 10 years old with 136k miles on the clock.

I now have the e39 but just have not got around to selling the e34.

Downside is I am in the UK and the wheels need refurbishing.

No,

I don't agree, My car looks better with clear lenses !

Although the Rosso Cars are an exception - I' ve mentioned this before.

The Fronts were a real pain to fit, tho' - unless you have child-sized fingers...........

I think they were - I know it was optional, but don't think it was that rare. Clear indicators at the front are essential imo. Cleans up the front loads - with the exception of on the red cars, where i think the orange indicators look better.

each to their own tho!

Of course, everyone is entitled to their own opinion regarding what looks better. The fact however remains: If you want your E34 to be in its original shape, it will have to be fitted with orange lenses.

Mine is also fitted with clear ones, but fortunately I have the orange ones laying around, and of course they will be changed ASAP.

Best regards,
Kalle
