LE Interior colour

Ok guys. I have just read a thread from a good while back about the different interior colours on the Rosso and Orinocco LE`s. There are some fairly strong comments about the mint green and maple trim in the Orinocco cars. Now there are some new blood, as it were, on the site, I wonder what people think to this and the suitability of the colour to the car. Personally I feel the Cream leather is more suited to a Jag than a BMW and that the mint green is a bit unusual but suits the Orinocco cars. It would definitley not suit the Red cars but its not a bad trim. Very functional colour but not hideous. Your thoughts please.???

Re: LE Interior colour

I really like the Petrol/Mint/Vogelaugen combo. The Champagne and wood is a bit too much for me, it hasn't aged particularly well with wood so bright.

Re: LE Interior colour

Like AndyE....

....I prefer the Orinoco with Petrol & Mint, although it looks terrible when the car is dirty.

....but then I would, as I'm a little-bit biased.

I also really like Jon Baker's Techno-Violet (or is it Daytona ?) 6-Speed 1995 MY 3.8 - looks quite stunning in the metal.

Here's some copies of the original documentation for the UK LEs - for those that haven't already seen it :-

Re: LE Interior colour

I have an individual edition, and the interior is champagne.
I don`t have the wood trim though..
I don`t really have any good or bad feelings about the mint interior..

Re: LE Interior colour

The interior & exterior of all LE models are lovely.
The Rosso is the only Red colour I would ever have but only on an LE.
When I bought my barge a few yrs ago I deliberately sought out a dark Alcantara for practical reasons but I think the leather with some care is very durable.

Peppermint is cool.

Re: LE Interior colour

And the final score will be 35 - 15

No bias (who: me) but that green two tone interior is just

The beautiful combo of Rosso and Champagne is although I have to agree that the polished up wood looks a bit Jaguar.
Quite fancy an XK8 next.

Ah at last we have hit a post I was looking for. Difference on opinion on the interior is cool, everyone is different, BUT, yeah the wood does look a bit Jaguar and our cars are not Jaguar. Before buying my car I test drove and seriously considered a V8 supercharged XJ8. Now this car is fast and quite good looking in my opinion, but its just not a M5. I feel that your either a Jag man or your not and although I liked it, Im not and so im afraid cant do the oppulant luxury feel of cream leather

Did a search for interior and this is one of the threads I found...anyone have leads on that dark bird's eye/black stained interior wood or a carbon fiber interior kit for the e34? Some of the lighter colored interiors look really plain methinks and a high quality CF kit would do wonders if it looked stock....

Just a couple of shots from the archives....

A mint interior, and a grey cloth.
I avoided grey as it shows up the dirt,
and as for an LE, well, an LE is an LE !
