Decided to keep my M5 Touring

You will all be pleased to hear Ive decided to now keep my M5 Touring....I wanted to sell it for a good reason, but I can now justify keeping it and using an my everyday transport. - best offer was £8,750 - glad I didnt take it now......was asking £10k - which I thought was reasonable for a unique (RHD) car? I dont know - does the conversion put people off or will its value incrase being in a RHD country? Anyway........

Will be going through the minor defects it has over the next 6 months or so - some very minor bodywork, AP brake upgrade and perhaps some wild cams.....Ive installed Cyrus' H&S exhaust system on it and it sounds forkin mad......you dont realise just how good it sounds until you are outside and someone else drives it past (test done for this very reason!) And the idle is invigorating - ive always said these E34 M5s are one of the nicest rough idling cars Ive ever heard......

Are Decats available for these cars? If so from where? I have contacts in the exhaust field so could probably have some made up but I suspect theyve been done already.....

Some more pics here: http://www.infinicar.com/m5/

Enjoy.

Paul
ps - Im always looking for E34 M5s that have been damaged, MOT failures etc etc for parts for my business. If you know of anything please let me know paul@infinicar.com - cheers! (based in UK, but will travel anywhere in Europe doesnt matter!)

Nice car. For those of us on the other side of the pond, we must make do with a e34 530iT since the M5T was never available to us. Sigh.

Curt,

The touring are available (see www.mobile.de), just a little expensive ($12K and up for the car purchase, another $13K for the conversion, $3-$5K for miscellaneous stuff ( shipping/customs/bonds/paperwork, must say I was fortunate enough to be stationed in England, I bought a German spec 95 from a Brit who drove to German to in 1997 and purchased the car. I just registered my 1995 M5 stateside (pass the state inspection with no problems.) These cars are definitely worth the purchase, yes the E39 and E60 is faster, but the driving experience is totally different, they'll get to the destination faster, but I'll have more fun getting there (no traction control, no double vanos, full control of the stick, the almost perfect sounding straight six - above 3500rpm that is.
