Engine rebuild specs.

Hello , does anyone know of a good resource for 3.6 & 3.8 engine rebuild specs. I have experience with engine builds but not much on M5 engines. I can imagine their delicate nature requires some experience or at least a good technical guide. Also any potential weaknesses that should be resolved during the build.
I am new to the forum but so far it has been a wealth of information and any help is much appreciated.
Thanks, Richard.

Re: Engine rebuild specs.

Alright Richard

I myself am currently overhauling my engine and am at the stage of removing the cylinder head which is causing problems due to the attached exhaust which can't be removed due to access, have an idea how to resolve and will let you know how it works out if you need to know.

My advice would be to do as i have, mark everything and i mean everything up using masking tape with numbers or letters. and as a backup lot and lots of pictures.

Also contact your local dealer and try to talk to the service manager, some of the guys are more than helpful, especially about the older M5s due to rarety i think.

But as for specific spec i found it very hard to obtain any real specs apart from torque setting from the TIS cds.

If you have any further question, only to glad to help.

Cheers
