Post Sunday UK Meet

Hello All,

I would like to say a big thank you to the guys who managed to get to Box Hill on Sunday. Some real beauties turned up, cars that is ! :-), ranging from a soon to be restored 82' 5 Series Alpina, to some beautiful brand new 2001 M5's.

As luck would have it, I seemed to have a chosen a day where most of the UK's Vespa squad had also planned to meet. Amazing seeing 1/2 of the car park to the Vespa's (mods), 1/2 to the Motorbikes (Greasers), it was like Quaduphenier (yeah I know that's spelt wrong). The Bimmers (the Germans) only managed to aquire a small section of car park but we still managed to drum up enough interest to have several bikers to come over and have a look. But, "There was plenty of room in the Inn" for us all.

Not only did these cars show real character, but I was pleased to see that the owners where real down to earth and homourous guys, all united by the addiction of the power and torque these M cars provide.

Next meet will hopefully be located in a dis used air field / long straight so that we can test the performance of these cars and for me to convince myself more that a new M5 is the only way I should go now.

Once again, many thanks to all.

SBK
